SSHFlow is a developer-focused SSH client designed to streamline remote server management. It provides a unified workspace for each server, consolidating essential tools like terminals, SFTP, and a code editor. This approach eliminates the need to juggle multiple applications and tabs when switching between different servers or tasks.
Each server connection within SSHFlow is assigned its own dedicated workspace. This means that when you switch servers, you also switch to that server's specific workspace, preserving your session, open tabs, and layout. This feature is particularly useful for organizing work by project or environment, allowing users to keep production and staging servers distinctly separated within their own windows.
The integrated SFTP browser allows for direct management of remote files. Users can browse, upload, and download files and folders directly within their server workspace, with the ability to open these files immediately in the built-in code editor. This eliminates the cumbersome download-upload cycle often associated with remote file editing.
SSHFlow's code editor, powered by Monaco, offers syntax highlighting and autocompletion. It enables users to edit remote files directly over the SSH connection and save changes back to the server seamlessly. The client also supports opening files in external editors like VS Code, Zed, or Neovim, and automatically detects external changes to ensure users are always working with the latest versions.
Security and ease of use are paramount, with SSHFlow operating on a local-first principle. Your SSH keys and credentials are stored securely on your local machine using native operating system storage, and no server-side agent needs to be installed or maintained on the remote servers. The client utilizes standard SSH protocols, ensuring compatibility with any server accessible via SSH. For cross-machine setup synchronization, SSHFlow offers encrypted sync files, protected by a user-chosen password.
