It serves journalists, activists, and ordinary citizens who demand transparency and accountability from their elected representatives. The platform's core value lies in converting vague campaign pledges into measurable progress indicators, displayed through an intuitive dashboard. Currently tracking 95 promises across 12 categories such as National Security, Governance, Women & Nari Shakti, and Health, it offers a comprehensive view of how parties are delivering on their commitments. Each promise is assigned a status: Fulfilled, In Progress, Broken, or Not Rated, providing instant clarity on performance. By doing so, Manifesto Page empowers users to move beyond rhetoric and engage with concrete data.

In many democracies, election promises fade once votes are counted, leaving citizens with no easy way to track follow-through. Manifesto Page directly addresses this pain point by centralizing promise data and allowing continuous updates. This matters because accountability is the bedrock of trust in governance; without it, empty promises erode public faith. In West Bengal, where significant welfare schemes like Annapurna Yojana (₹3,000/month support) and Ayushman Bharat (health coverage) are tied to manifesto commitments, the ability to see real-time progress (currently 8% overall, with 3 fulfilled and 10 in progress) gives voters concrete evidence to judge their leaders. The main dashboard presents an at-a-glance summary with a global progress bar showing 8% overall, accompanied by counts of fulfilled (3), in progress (10), broken (0), and not rated (82) promises. Each category tile displays its own progress percentage (e.g., National Security at 50%, Youth & Employment at 13%) and the number of promises in that category. The Latest Updates feed beneath the dashboard links recent news events to specific promises—like the arrest of a municipal chairman re: the White Paper on 15 years of TMC rule, or the signing of an MoU for Ayushman Bharat inclusion. This interactive design encourages users to explore, click, and contribute. The visual progress bars provide an immediate sense of overall government performance, making complex data accessible to non-experts.
